  • • The best time to visit Davao City and Samal Island is from November to May, when the weather is dry and sunny.

  • • The currency used in Davao City and Samal Island is the Philippine peso (PHP). It is advisable to bring enough cash as some places may not accept credit cards or have ATMs.

  • • The main mode of transport in Davao City is jeepney, taxi, or tricycle. In Samal Island, you can rent a motorcycle, bicycle, or habal-habal (motorcycle taxi). You can also join a guided tour that includes transportation.

  • • To get to Samal Island from Davao City, you can take a ferry from Sta. Ana Wharf or Sasa Wharf. The ferry ride takes about 10 to 15 minutes and costs around PHP 10 to PHP 15 per person.
