Important Notes Before Travelling
• To get to Osaka from Tokyo, I took the Shinkansen bullet train, which took about 2.5 hours and cost around 14,000 yen one way. Alternatively, I could have flown to Kansai International Airport, which is about an hour away from central Osaka by train or bus.
• The main areas to stay in Osaka are Namba and Umeda, which are both well-connected by public transportation and have plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby. I chose to stay in Namba, as it is closer to Dotonbori, the famous street food district.
