Important Notes Before Travelling
• To get to Taipei from Taoyuan International Airport, you can take bus 1819 to Taipei Main Station, which costs 125 TWD ($4 USD) and takes about an hour. Alternatively, you can book a private transfer or a shared shuttle online for convenience.
• The MRT (metro) is the best way to get around Taipei. It is fast, cheap, and easy to use. You can buy a single-journey ticket or an EasyCard, which you can top up and use for multiple trips. A one-day pass costs 150 TWD ($5 USD) and a five-day pass costs 700 TWD ($23 USD).
